OH SO CRAFTY, PARTY TIME

EVERYONE LOVES A PARTY FAVOR: HOLIDAY PLACE CARD HOLDERS?

Chances are good that your holiday celebrations will be a little more intimate this year (2020, whatta year!). In that case, let’s pull out all the stops and make this year’s holidays the most special ones yet. Going all out for a party or celebration? Don’t threaten me with a good time!

If you’re the lucky one hosting a holiday gathering this year, one way to really make your guests feel special is with place card holders that work overtime as party favors! Everyone knows their spot at the table and gets to go home (or to their space in the house) with a keepsake! I mean, could it get any better? For Thanksgiving, make a pumpkin place card holder that guests can take to add to their Fall decor in their own homes!

I used a pumpkin pick from Hobby Lobby (purchased 40% off, duh!), removed the pick, carefully cut a slit in the stem to add the place card (made with kraft cardstock), and tied on a bow for some pizzazz! These pumpkin cuties will leave guests as happy as they are stuffed!

Turning the holiday attention to Christmas, make jingle bells into place card holders that double as ornaments! Once the party is over, guests can hang them on their Christmas trees as a party memento!

I bought a pack of jingle bells (these are actually vase fillers) and added a small holly pick to the top of each one. I chose a pick that had a sprig to slide the place card into. Finally, I added a string loop to the top so it can be hung on a tree! Ho Ho Ho-ly Cow, these are adorable!

With a little bit of creativity and a whole lot of holiday cheer, you can make this year’s holidays as special as ever!
