GOURD-GEOUS FALL PORCH

I’ll admit, I’m no gardening expert. My thumbs are far from green, but I do love creating a festive scene on my front porch every Fall. This year, I decided to go big! Mums, pumpkins, and lanterns galore! Here are my tips and tricks to create a beautiful and welcoming front porch that you will fall in love with.  

?It’s not Fall without mums! I bought the Autumn favorites in a few sizes and colors.  If your options aren’t plentiful, you can buy mums of the same size and give them a boost to appear as different sized plants by adding wooden risers. Say this 3 times fast…Fabulous Front Porch Foliage!

?Okay, okay I might have gone a little crazy with the pumpkins this year, but I couldn’t resist! I bought just about any variety of pumpkin and gourd the patch had! White, orange, round, tall, big, small…all are welcome on my front porch! This year, I picked up some heirloom pumpkins and regular carving pumpkins to provide the utmost variety!

?Let’s light it up! I added lanterns with artificial candles and fairy lights to make it all glow. A front porch this pretty should be seen when the sun sets too! 

?My favorite way to greet guests into my home is via door mat! This plaid scatter rug perfectly highlights my “hey there, pumpkin” door mat. That just might be my favorite saying of the season! 😉

Hopefully, I have inspired you to add some Fall flavor to your front porch! Regardless of your feelings on the season, the whole neighborhood now knows that in this house…we love Fall most of all.
