IT’S BEGINNING TO SMELL A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS

One thing I might love more than the bright, joyous sights of Christmas are the warm, festive smells! For me, the ultimate smell of the season comes from the pine tree in the middle of my home. We all know real Christmas trees are messy, require extra work, and every year, I’m worried we are unknowingly bringing in a bird or squirrel with it, but you can’t beat that homespun Christmas look and smell!

I spared a few branches from this year’s tree along with some other Christmas staples (oranges, cranberries, cinnamon) to make Christmas stovetop potpourri. After simmering on my stove for a few hours, my whole house was an instant Christmas wonderland!

Let’s spread the Christmas joy around like confetti (err, tinsel)! Box up an orange, cinnamon stick, a handful of cranberries & 2 branches of pine, throw on a bow and tag to give to neighbors, teachers, or just anyone who needs a little extra cheer.
