JAMAICAN ME HAPPY

Just like Seagram’s fruity drink, the country of Jamaica was Jamaican me happy (& sunburnt) last month. 5 whole days of sun, sand, and endless Dirty Bananas (my new favorite alcoholic bev)…we were really “seasing” the days! As the Jamaicans say, ya mon!!

The resort (Secrets Montego Bay St James) had everything we needed so we found ourselves there for our entire Caribbean stay. Most days included alternating time spent on the beach, in the ocean, or poolside and deciding which restaurant to visit for lunch and dinner. Our favorite restaurant was the French restaurant (mmm…crème brulee), but the best thing we ate was the Jamaican Jerk Chicken. The resort had jerk chicken and coconut carts that were pushed around so vacationers could “get a taste of the island” as we pleased. Delish!

Most evenings were spent taking in the resort entertainment which included bands, dancers, and a staff talent show. Before heading home, we made sure to snag a few souvenirs and take plenty of morning beach walks (we even spotted a sting ray and hermit crab)! The Caribbean just doesn’t disappoint, and we are already planning which country to visit next!
