MAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT HOLIDAY PARTY
Christmas time is here!! Happiness & Cheer! David and I brought back our annual holiday party this year, and it was a jolly one! (Read about our previous parties here) This year’s theme was Making Spirits Bright! Guests were asked to bring a toy or food item for donations to local charities hopefully making others’ spirits bright this holiday season. We also made our own spirits bright with none other than…spirit cocktails! Here’s how to host your own Making Spirit Bright holiday party!!
Invite guests to your festive fete and let them know what kind of donations to bring. I used these invitations to get the word out! Once guests arrive, invite them to drop off their donations and add their name to a jar for a chance to win a prize…this was our thank you for donating 🙂 . Draw a winner later in the evening once everyone has arrived!
Hopefully those guests came thirsty! Wine & dine them all evening long! I set up 3 signature drink areas for the evening along with garnishments and appetizer pairings for each! Classic eggnog & whiskey garnished with nutmeg and paired with caramel pretzels ♦️ Cranberry Holiday Punch garnished with rosemary and cranberries and paired with chocolate brownie cookies ♦️ Apple Pie Moonshine garnished with a cinnamon stick and paired with BBQ Jelly Meatballs. I also set up a grazing table full of meats, cheeses, crackers, fruit, dips, veggies, & nuts! I laid Kraft paper on the table and piled the food right on top. No platters to wash and clean up was a (ginger)snap! Guests got their sugar fix with Thyme Square holiday macarons! Yum!
What a night of fun, merriment, & giving back! In the end, we donated 10 toys and over 50 pounds of food in hopes of lighting up this holiday season!
