OLYMPIC PENNANT FLAGS

All eyes on Tokyo this week…the Olympics are almost here! Whether you watch every single waking event or prefer the dramatics of the opening ceremony, let’s celebrate the 2021 Summer Games to the max! This week, we are making pennant flags to wave as we cheer (from home) our favorite athletes to gold! Swim, bike, race walk (yep, that’s a real sport) to your nearest craft store to pick up the essentials before the games begin! 

You’ll need card stock, wooden dowels, vinyl or stickers, and an assortment of yarn and ribbon. Cut the card stock in a triangle and either glue to the dowel or thread the dowel through the card stock with 2 cuts. Tie yarn and ribbon at the bottom of the triangle to the dowel and hot glue to secure. Add stickers or vinyl to the triangle to cheer on your favorite team! I used “USA” and “Go 4 Gold”. Wave proudly as you watch your favorite athletes compete!
