OUT OF THIS WORLD FRUIT KABOBS
Disclaimer: This blog more than likely won’t be filled with tons of fancy, complicated dinner recipes. If you catch me looking for new dinner ideas on Pinterest, I always scroll past the recipes with tons of ingredients and steps. However, this blog will be filled with super festive, super cute and easy recipes to make any holiday or occasion extra special! Since NASA and SpaceX completed a successful rocket ship launch today, I felt inspired! Anyone out there hold a launch party today?? I’m guessing so. These rocket ship fruit kabobs would be the best addition to any launch party in the future. Since your opportunities for a launch party are few and far between, they can also be put to use at a space themed birthday party, 4th of July party, or in an effort to get your kids to eat more fruit! People of all ages will be sure to enjoy these adorable and healthy rocket ships [with blastoff flames]!
Here’s what you need:
1 banana – 1 clementine – blueberries – strawberries – bamboo skewer
Peel the banana and slice 4 1/2 inch pieces. Cut the tops off of 2 strawberries and make a triangle cut into the bottom of one of the strawberries. Peel the clementine. You are ready to assemble!
It’s important to skewer the fruit from the bottom up so you need to start with the blastoff flames AKA clementines. I put the 3 clementines on in alternating directions to get the flaming effect. Next up, skewer the rocket ship tail AKA the strawberry with the slit in the bottom. Alternate the banana slices and 3 blueberries for the tunnel of the space ship and end with the remaining strawberry as the nose of the ship. Make as many as you would like and display for all to enjoy! It’s a treat for the eyes and the tastebuds!!
Your next space themed party [or a random Thursday snack] will be out of this world!
