SPOOKY CHARCUTERIE BOARD

If your Halloween plans include staying in, making a big pot of chili, and answering the door for ghosts and goblins (the kid kind of course), you will definitely need a meat and cheese board for the spooky night. I have a fun take on the trendy charcuterie board that is no trick and all treat…well, maybe just a little trick (BOO!). Now, we’re in the spirit!

Start with a wooden serving board and pile it high with Halloween inspired cheeses and your favorite meats, crackers, and hummus! As it happens, Aldi sells super fun, super festive hard cheeses seasonally. I picked up the Freaky Franken Sage, Bat Knit Crazy Cheddar, Jalapeno, and Transylvanian Red Wine Soaked cheeses to add to my spooky charcuterie board! For extra fun, I used cookie cutters to spell “BOO” and “EEK” out of colby jack cheese slices. Add the meat slices, crackers, and roasted red pepper hummus (it wouldn’t be Halloween without a gory looking treat!). Set the board out for all to enjoy and be prepared for it to disappear as quick as a ghost! Happy Halloween, friends!
